| Request Details | OUR WEDDING VISION & VENDOR BRIEF Overall Vision We want an intimate, classy, and romantic wedding that feels personal to us and our families. It will be a one-day event for approximately 150 guests, with both the traditional joining and main wedding ceremony taking place at the same venue. No church attendance is planned. Our preference is a beautiful outdoor venue with natural scenery, shade, good ventilation, floral arrangements, and weather protection. If this is not possible, an elegant hall with tasteful décor will work. We want a beautiful, well-organised celebration without unnecessary extravagance or stress. 1. Photography Outdoor pre-wedding photoshoot in Ofi attire with a vintage saloon car, plus modern outfit shots. Wedding-day coverage should capture candid emotions, couple moments, family reactions, the ceremonies, and arranged guest photographs. Deliverables should include edited digital photos and a physical wedding album. 2. Videography Full-day coverage capturing the ceremonies, couple interactions, family reactions, and celebrations. Deliver both a cinematic highlights video and a full wedding film. 3. Wedding Planner We need a planner to manage the overall planning, budget, vendors, timeline, setup, and wedding-day coordination, ensuring everything runs smoothly with minimal stress on us. 4. Makeup Natural, soft, and elegant bridal makeup that enhances the bride's features without looking overly glamorous. Long-lasting makeup with touch-ups as needed. 5. Hair A soft, flowing hairstyle rather than a tightly packed-up style. The look should be elegant, comfortable, and suitable for photography and both bridal outfits. 6. Décor Simple, classy, romantic styling with beautiful floral arrangements. Focus on the entrance, ceremony area, couple's stage, guest tables, and reception space. Colours should be coordinated, elegant, and not overly busy. 7. Catering Small chops as appetisers, followed by jollof rice and fried rice with salad, plantain, and chicken. Food should be delicious, properly portioned, and served efficiently. Serving staff, plates, and cutlery should be included. 8. DJ Music should include soulful love songs, gospel praise, Afro-gospel, and clean, non-vulgar secular music. The DJ should manage the music throughout the event and provide the necessary sound equipment. 9. MC A fun, lively, and respectful MC who speaks both English and Yoruba. The programme should be engaging but swift, avoiding unnecessary delays, lengthy speeches, and uncomfortable activities. 10. Alaga An experienced Alaga who can accommodate Yoruba and Ikale traditions, coordinate the traditional joining, and work with both families to ensure the ceremony is culturally appropriate, enjoyable, and well-paced. 11. Venue Preferably an outdoor garden or natural setting suitable for 150 guests, with shade, rain protection, toilets, power, ventilation, and convenient access. An elegant hall is the alternative. Both ceremonies must take place at the same venue. 12. Rentals Tables and chairs for approximately 150 guests, properly decorated with coordinated tablecloths and centrepieces. Include any required tableware, delivery, setup, and collection. 13. Attire and Styling Two main outfits: traditional attire and a white wedding outfit for the main ceremony and reception. A wedding gown rental should be included for the bride. Both looks should be classy, coordinated, comfortable, and ready well before the wedding. 14. Wedding Cake A simple, classy three-tier cake with different flavours across the tiers. Include delivery and setup. 15. Live Band A lively band specialising in danceable Alujo and culturally appropriate music to get guests dancing and create an energetic celebration. Coordinate performance time and sound requirements with the DJ. 16. Lighting Warm, romantic lighting that creates an intimate, loving atmosphere. Illuminate the ceremony area, couple's stage, guest tables, and dance floor while complementing the venue and photography. 17. Security Two discreet security personnel at the entrance to check invitations, manage entry, and prevent unauthorised access. Coordinate with the planner and ushers. 18. Printing and Stationery A simple wedding banner featuring the wedding hashtag and minimal photographs. Souvenir jotters should be neatly designed without pictures of the couple. 19. Car Hire A vintage saloon car for the pre-wedding photoshoot, plus an SUV and another car for transporting the couple to and from the wedding. Chauffeurs and agreed pickup, drop-off, and waiting arrangements should be included. 20. Ushers Decently dressed ushers to welcome guests, check invitations, guide seating, serve food and drinks, and assist with guest management. 21. Drinks and Bar Soft drinks should be placed on guest tables. Cocktails should be available from a designated bar area behind the venue, served only upon request. Our Priorities The wedding should be intimate, beautiful, culturally meaningful, comfortable, and well-organised. We want excellent food, soulful music, genuine emotional moments, and elegant styling without unnecessary extravagance. Most importantly, we want to enjoy our day with each other and our families rather than worry about logistics. |
